The Game of Self
The Ultimate RPG. The Game of Games.
Something feels off.
Like something’s missing. Not a lot — but enough.
A tingle of “something’s not quite right” and a dose of “I know the pieces fit, I watched them fall away”… mixed with a dash of “I know there’s something to it, something I can’t quite see, or touch, but I’ve felt it… I’ve recognized it after the fact.”
There’s some kind of magic going on behind the curtain you’re intuitively trying to harness… and it’s like trying to hold water in your hands. It slips right through your fingers.
And, “no matter what, I keep finding myself using myself against myself… and others, particularly the people I care most for, WTF!”
You’ve been at this a while. Frolicked in many a different version of the message… followed two big handfuls of spiritual teachers, read and studied the various mystical ways of old, played with the dangers of religion, tumbled head first into as many rabbit holes that supposedly were meant to arrive you at the answers… only to begin questioning if there are such things.
Which is why you get partway into the new book, program, course, coaching, etc, and realize… “Fuck! I know this and this ain’t it.”
Yet you’re still on the hunt as it were. You’ve come so far that every damn thing seems like a dead-end, something disguised as something else, that you’ve already done, tried, reality-tested… that it seems like “it” doesn’t exist. That what you’re looking for is simply another distraction you’ve put in place to keep yourself occupied while you play this game at such a high level of difficulty.
Maybe you ought not seek?
“Nah. There’s something to it, something I’m missing, something I’m doing that’s off just enough to keep getting a mix of what I do and don’t want but not enough that I’ve altogether quit looking.”
I see you.
You’ve probably got 92 to 98 percent of the shit sorted. You know more about this stuff than most people will ever care to know. And still… it’s that last couple of percent. The piece no book or teacher or framework has been able to hand you… because it was never theirs to give.
Here’s the thing.
You are constantly talking yourself into and out of everything you want. And you’re so good at it that you’ve made it automatic.
You’re so good at being who you’ve become that you think that’s who you are. It’s not. It’s simply a perspective you’ve rehearsed to perfection.
The problem isn’t with what you’re doing or even how you’re doing it. “It” isn’t broken. It’s working perfectly. You’re simply not aware of exactly what it is and how it works.
It’s so simple we tend to miss it. Hidden in plain sight, right under our noses. You haven’t found “it” yet because you’re looking right at it and don’t even know it.
And because some of us are so damned smart, the simplicity of it simply cannot be. It MUST be more sophisticated than that?!
Nope.
That last couple of percent? It’s not a knowledge problem. It’s an operating system problem.
You don’t need to learn how to do it, or do it differently. You simply need to understand what you are doing and how it works… and then do it deliberately.
If you only knew what exactly you were doing… you’d rearrange the universe at will, fully aware that you’re the one doing it.
Dude. It is a Game. An inner game, one of hide and seek, played between you and your identity.
Tag. You’re “It.”
If you feel like something’s off or that something’s missing, and you haven’t given up the quest to find it… you’re in the right place.
You Game?
Not yet?
That’s fine. Stay close. We publish a thing called Playing With Consciousness — PWC. It shows up when it shows up. No drip sequence. No 47-email funnel. Just… the work, in smaller pieces, when it’s ready.
