Perspective —
Is Everything.
Simply “a way” to see it…
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
Albert Einstein
Einstein also said, “In fact, life itself is a big miracle. There are so many things that are beyond our understanding.”
And that’s the thing we’re doin’ here, idn’t it?
Seeking an understanding… We’ll circle back to that later.
It’s a Game — this whole experience you’re having.
A game of hide and seek, played between you and your identity.
You can see it any way you want, but I prefer seeing this as a game — and, more so, a bonus round or series of bonus rounds, like I already won the game.
Some people see this whole thing as a test. If you fail the test, you go to hell, and if you pass, you go to paradise.
Others see it as the conclusion of random events over a long period of time with no real purpose, only a playing out of highly improbable coincidences.
Others see this thing (life on this planet and our experience) as the remnants of what some other-worldly beings created by tinkering with the genetics of the local wildlife here on Earth to escape their chores.
Some think this is a simulation, possibly created by a third grader playing around with an outdated video game program in his/her parents’ basement. By the way, the third grader is like a C-level student.
Some think this is an illusion.
“Some say the end is near... some say we’ll see armageddon soon…“
And on and on. Literally thousands of “stories” about “what this is, why we’re here, what the point is, etc, etc.”
Yep. Cool.
Let’s pretend for a minute that that’s all true, and none of that’s true… all at the same time. This means that, just for a minute, you get to choose what it is and why it matters.
You do you. I’m not here to say you’re wrong…
…only to offer another perspective, as a point of reference that you can use to reorient yourself for the adventure ahead.
