Self (and I knew it was me coz I recognized my voice… and was wearing my underwear) – “Today is going to be a good day.” And then we both laughed and laughed.

The following is meant to serve as one of many intros or inroads into a collection of stories and poems, anecdotes and journal entries, mind puzzles, and psycho-spiritual trip notes, both real and imagined —

(many self-induced, others naturally or synthetically assisted… a wonderful chemical romance it once was…).

Compiled over these past 40-some years, taken apart and worked back together, time and time again, until the pieces fit — as I knew they would.

After all, it was I who watched them fall away...

Eventually, and with careful attention, distilled into its essence and presented here as a sort of spiritual mountaineering guide —

by which to navigate this experience, this life, and this self… without falling off the mountain.

You know, in case we end up back here again — it would be nice, and possibly wise, to have created a map for ourselves, so to speak.

So we can find our way out of the crazy-making and into a preferred state once again.

This trip through the playground, we’ve decided to craft such a guide — and have mapped out the “what we do” and “how it works,” (the “getting what we want” at will, and stopping the “getting what we don’t want.”).

This particular intro into the set of guides we’ve constructed for you.

An exhilaratingly fun and occasionally terrifying dance through the “How to be human without fucking up your experience, while getting what you want in ways that feel good, all while demonstrating “The Magic” to those around you —

hoping they pull on that thread and do the same for themselves.”

This playground isn’t meant for the newly minted, spiritually awakened, or awakening; this park is built with the ‘personal dev veterans’ and ‘shelf-help warriors’ in mind —

the ones who’ve danced in the fire while poking and prodding their dragons, knowingly so and, often, on purpose.

This ride is for those who have frolicked in many a different version of “the message” — (the ones we call “SEEKERS”), who’ve followed two big handfuls of spiritual teachers, read and studied the various mystical ways of old, played with the dangers of religion, tumbled head first into as many rabbit holes as possible — (supposedly), meant to arrive you at “The Answers.” —

only to begin questioning if such things even exist.
